MEET THE OWNER
Greg Wheat
Greg got a young start lifting with a plastic concrete filled weight set from Kmart. By the time he started High School he was ahead of the pack of lifters who were just getting started.
He loved powerlifting so much that he convinced his High School to let him take powerlifting as a class year round, all four years.
During his time in school he excelled in Bench press competing in the 132 pound weight class and bench pressing 300lbs. He received many First Place, Outstanding Lifter, and Best Lifter Awards, and even set a National Record. He was also featured in “Powerlifting Who’s Who”, and “Powerlifting USA Magazine”.
After graduating Greg stepped away from competitive lifting for over 30 years. When his Son, Kyston Wheat started showing interest in Power Lifting, Greg decided to hit the gym, and begin training his Son in the sport that he loved. It was then that Greg started looking for a Powerlifting Organization that he and his Son could anchor to, lift with, and be apart of. That’s when he found NASA.
At age 50, weighing in at 165, Masters 2 Div. Greg has set several State and National records. He continues to enjoy being a part of the NASA-SPORTS.COM Organization, lifting with them, as well as preparing and training lifters for upcoming NASA meets.
